Description: Here is something from the extremely fuzzy memory department - a very staticy clip of the ending of Soul Searching (public affairs program for African-Americans I can only assume) followed by a Field Communications ID, a WFLD All in the Family promo and then the opening and first couple minutes of Chicago '80 - hosted by Norman Mark - with that weeks topic - "Atheism - Is there a God?".
Featuring Ouida Lindsey as host of Soul Searching (Fashions by Holiday Shop - Hair Styling by Benai Davis). Guests for Chicago '80 were Christopher Drew and Christine Olenechuck (sp?) from the Illinois Chapter of American Atheists.
The intro music for "Chicago '80" is "To Be Free" by Chicago, part of the "Ballet for a Girl in Buckannon" (which featured "Make Me Smile" and "Colour My World", the song that launched a thousand senior proms...) - Info courtesy ro46214 & SuperCFL.
Voiceover by Jim Barton.
This aired on local Chicago TV on Saturday, July 12th 1980. (from approximately 8:29am to 8:35am)
