Description: Here's a neat historical clip, even though it's not from Chicago. It's a public notice on WKBD Channel 50 announcing the sale of the Kaiser Broadcasting station to Field Communications.
Kaiser Broadcasting Company and Field Communications Corporation, filed with the Federal Communications Commission on March 16th 1977, an application seeking approval of the assignment of the license of WKBD-TV Channel 50 Detroit from Kaiser Broadcasting Company to Field Communications Corporation.
They then give a list of the officers, directors and 10% or greater shareholders of both companies including such notables as Edgar F. Kaiser, Marshall Field and Field Enterprises Incorporated.
A copy of the application, any amendments and related materials are on file for public inspection at WKBD-TV - 26955 West 11 Mile Road - Southfield, MI 48034.
Includes a lot of nice shots of the antennas and buildings of WKBD.
