Description: Here's a brief clip of the "Faces of Wrigley Field," aired during the middle of the seventh inning of the Chicago Cubs baseball game on WGN Channel 9 (the Pittsburgh Pirates were leading the Cubs 2-0 at this point).
Features shots of various attendees of the day's game, set to the music of The Ramsey Lewis Trio's 1965 instrumental version of "The 'In' Crowd" (Argo 5506, prior to that label's being renamed Cadet).
This is followed by the Cubs' Jerry Martin (#28) landing a base hit to start the bottom of the seventh inning.
Features the voice of Jack Brickhouse calling the play-by-play.
(The Cubs eventually beat the Pirates, 5-3.)
I included a little clip at the end that was recorded over - anyone have any idea what it could be? Looks like Columbo with a vampire and a policeman, on the set of Fawlty Towers! ;-)
This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, April 25th 1980.
