Description: Here's the first commercial break for the Miles Showcase Theatre presentation of the 1941 Humphrey Bogart movie "The Maltese Falcon" on WGN Channel 9. Includes:

Host Ray Rayner once again explaining the program's "four commercial interruptions" format, and introducing a commercial for Bactine disinfectant, with a child who'd scraped his knee - "Helps the Hurt Stop Hurting"

Next, Ray introduces a commercial for One-a-Day Plus Iron (with ten vitamins plus iron), featuring a "One-a-Day Girl" with "a great job and a husband I love."

After this commercial, Ray returns to "The Maltese Falcon."

NOTE: This broadcast was in color, but captured on an early home videotape recording in black and white. (of course, the movie itself was in black and white - just the Miles Showcase segments and commercials would have been in color) There are also some tape-tracking problems that are noticeable at certain points on this clip.
