Description: Here's an installment of a syndicated series of shorts called Chatter's World that aired on WBKB Channel 7 weekday mornings in 1960.

Chicago historian Steve Jajkowski adds, "Chatter's World was local - it was created and produced by Sam Ventura and Ronny Born (who played "Orville" on Shock Theatre). Ronny Born also performed the voice of Chatter. Filmed at WBKB, roughly a season's worth, then sold into local syndication for quite a few years after. It initially ran as a stand alone show first (on WBKB). Later I remember seeing it as part of other shows."

Chatters World also aired in other major markets, including WNEW Channel 5 in New York where these shorts aired as part of the long-running children's show Wonderama within Sonny Fox's 1959-67 run as host).

In this particular short, Chatter the Chimp plays a weatherman, "Chatter Weathervane," giving the vaguest weather forecast in captivity (including a "30 day outlook"), and in the end, the area where he's sitting is hit by snow, signifying a blizzard which he claims "you heard here first," but earlier he predicted the weather would be "beautiful."

Starts with Academy leader countdown (shown on one frame as "SMPTE Society Leader 1958")
