Description: Here's Part 5 (the last part) of an edition of the TV2 News at 10 on WBBM Channel 2, with Bob Wallace substituting for then-regular anchor Bob McBride. Features a brief on-camera appearance from sportscaster Brent Musburger and weatherman John Coughlin at the end.

This edition was transferred from the original 2" Quad tape.

Includes:

Bob reporting on the following items:

- ABC Television giving up on the upcoming (Sunday, July 30th) Bobby Fischer / Boris Spassky chess match in Iceland; Fischer's lawyer had negotiated with ABC to televise the match, but Fischer said his lawyer had no right to do so; Fischer at this point is ahead 5-3, and many in Russia thought Spassky's performance at the previous match the prior day (the 27th) was the worst of his career; portions of an interview Fischer gave in Denver to CBS News in July 1971, a few years after a loss to Spassky, are shown

- President Nixon plays golf in Maryland with AFL-CIO President George Meany, Secretary of State William Rogers and Treasury Secretary George Shultz; after the game, they meet in a veranda for an hour

Bob concludes the newscast by promising Bob McBride will return for tomorrow's 6pm and 10pm news, teasing a report on an upcoming news conference from former Chicago Cubs manager Leo Durocher at Wrigley Field in the wake of his July 27th firing (he was replaced in that position by Whitey Lockman), and segueing into The CBS Late Movie presentation of "Harum Scarum," as the end credits roll on the lower-third of the screen positioned right at the bottom end of the anchor desk:
