Description: Here's Part 3 of an edition of Channel 8 Reports on WFLA Channel 8 in Tampa / St. Petersburg, Florida, anchored by Arch Deal. Also featuring meteorologist Jack Stir.

After Jack's report is finished, Arch reports on the opening gala ceremonies for Tampa's Curtis Hixon Auditorium and Memorial Convention Center; actor Gary Merrill had arrived the previous day, and on this day legendary clarinetist and former big band leader Benny Goodman arrives at Tampa International Airport (with pertinent film footage); he will perform as a guest clarinet soloist with the Tampa Philharmonic Orchestra

Afterwards, Arch signals the next commercial break by teasing Milt Spencer's upcoming sports report.
