Here's an emergency weather alert from WFLD Channel 32, advising of "severe snowstorms and travelers advisories."

Notice at the end, the Kaiser-era "32" logo, plus the use of various weights of the Avant Garde typeface, that typified the station's "look" within its 1973-77 interregnum under Kaiser Broadcasting ownership, plus the first year or so after Field Communications reasserted control.

The music that opened this segment and was heard throughout this aler...

The interruption occurred during some adorable kids' rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Black Man".

"The first clock in America was created by a black man - BENJAMIN BANN-"
