(Since this wasn't normally part of the Afternoon Fun lineup, it must have been a special shown around Halloween) This one has a better quality picture.

Here's a very cool glimpse at some very old TV-44 - from 1974!
It's a slides-only promo of the afternoon lineup of WSNS Channel 44, which ranged "from cartoons to action" and at the time of this airing consisted of:
- 3pm - Robin Hood (presumably the 1950's British-made TV series with Richard Greene in the title role)
- 3:30pm - Popeye on 44 with Steve Hart (a what-ful of surprises?) ;-)
- 4pm - Spider-Man (...
WLS Channel 7 - The 3:00 Movie - "Women in Chains" (Opening, 1981)

Here, at long last, is an opening to the WLS Channel 7 3:00 Movie! This one is for the campy, explotative "Women in Chains" (boy, this was really good wholesome afternoon fun, eh?) This must have been around the time that "Prisoner: Cell Block H" was popular. :-)

This was originally aired as an ABC Movie of the Week from 1972.

Here's a few neat treats: the original opening and bumpers for Super Cartoon Sunday on WFLD Channel 32, from the original 16mm film. (Previous to this we had only seen the 1984 version).
The cartoon characters spotlighted in the opening are Magilla Gorilla, Casper (The Friendly Ghost), Popeye, Valley of the Dinosaurs and The Jetsons. This is followed by two bumpers, one for
