Here's a commercial for Jewel Food Stores, touting the value of cheaper generic-brand foods in general, and generic-brand dairy products in particular.

I used to love going down the generic aisle in Jewel when I was a kid because it seemed like some kind of Twilight Zone episode in an Orwellian society - hey there's - "DIET COLA" - over here and look it's "CORN TORTILLA CHIPS" over there! It was neat in a weird sort of way. :-)

Remember when you were little and you'd be watching TV, and all of a sudden the picture would go nuts? You knew your Mom was in the kitchen using the mixer to make a cake or something like that, but you didn't care - you'd yell at her to turn it off before the program came back on! Here's an example of that. :-)
