Previous to this we saw the opening with the snazzy music from the same broadcast.

Here's Commercial Break #3 (the last one) for My Three Sons on WGN Channel 9 where the episode that night was "The Non-Proposal". The reception was a little fuzzy. Includes: WFLD Channel 32 - Super Cartoon Sunrise - Popeye Hour (Jingle Bumper, 1979?)
Views: 2105 Here is a WFLD Channel 32 kids' choice "jingle bumper" for Popeye Hour on Super Cartoon Sunrise.
Power Passers Super Crash 300 Racing set by Lionel
Silver Streak toy train set by Tyco (with TV Guide coupon offer at end)
Long Chevrolet - "Extra, Extra!" (different version)
RC Cola - "Me and my RC"
I wonder who those kids' voices are that did the singing. Wouldn't it be cool to find out who they were?
"In Chicago the kids' choice is...Channel 32!"
Not sure when this aired exactly, but based on evidence in the recording, 1979 seems like a good bet, although technically it could have been early 1980 too.

WKBD Channel 50 - Star Trek (Bumper #1, 1977)

Here's a neat early bumper for Star Trek on one of WFLD's sister stations - WKBD Channel 50 in Detroit. They didn't have any voiceovers or music - none of the others during the episode had them either. Star Trek fans were all business. ;-)
Since this aired so early in the year, I'm pretty sure this bumper design was also used in 1976 and maybe since the beginning of WKBD's airing of Star Trek re-runs? In other words, this is likely the very first bumper design in a long his...

Accident near Daley Center involving a car jumping a curb at Dearborn & Washington. Injured were Daniel Fayan (sp?) and his wife Suzanne and an unidentified woman. Featuring eyewitne...
WFLD Channel 32 - The Jack Benny Show (Black & White Notice, 1974?)

Finally - some WFLD stuff from the same batch that isn't from March 1971. ;-) Here is an on-screen notice during The Jack Benny Show on WFLD Channel 32 informing you of a "Black & White Telecast".
Can anyone with access to the old TV guides find a listing for The Jack Benny Show on WFLD? Also, refresh my memory - when was Kaiser Broadcasting in control of WFLD? I know it ended in September of 1977, but not when they began exactly.
Not sure when this aired exa...
