Here's a test of the Emergency Broadcast System (or as they were referred to here, "Emergency Broadcasting System") that aired on WLS Channel 7. The text was modified somewhat from this 1981 EBS test on WMAQ Channel 5:

Here's another example of a bumper from "The All Electric Magik Lantern Moving Picture Show" - which was what WBBM Channel 2 called their Late Late Movie. On this night the presentation was "Land of the Pharaohs".

You can hear they used an excerpt from a piece of classical music during the bumpers - anyone know what it is?

This starts with the video animated ON TV ID, then the introductory promo which promotes the new subscription channel as a "revolution in Chicago broadcasting."

Here's a rare old promo for Son of Svengoolie episode number 45, showing the movie, "Cult of the Cobra". This episode aired on Saturday, May 17th 1980 at 8pm.

This was even before they had the Son of Svengoolie theme song (written by Doug Scharf) and instead were still using the old Jerry G. Bishop Svengoolie theme, "Rumble".

Quality is kind of fuzzy, but then again that's how we like'em... :-)
