This commercial was produced and directed (and some editing and camera work) by Ken Williamson. The music was written and produced by Sound Images. Ken owned a production company in Cincinnati called The Film House at the time. They specialized in Amusement Park commercials world-wide. (he sold the company in 2000, but is still active in the production business)

Here is Part 2 of some segments of a WLS Channel 7 Eyewitness News "Close Up" feature - "The Angry Sky: Tornadoes & Other Natural Disasters (Tornadoes, Lightning, and Floods). This series ran throughout the entire week.

This part features Joey Daly, Dr. Walt Lyons reporting, and a brief glimpse of Fahey Flynn at the end. Seems like there was a brief techincal difficulties moment at the end with Dr. Walt Lyons' audio turned off.

Unfortunately, the person who recorded the show did it in Black & White, but hey, it's better than nothing. :-) (they also cut most of the break)

Here is another rare Snipets segment! These would air on Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32 in the 70's and 80's.

This one is a bit fuzzy, but it's the best we have so far. This one also features the older "patchwork" logo of Snipets as well as a different group of kids saying "Snipets!". There is also a voiceover at the end which sounds like George Takei - "Snipets are produced by Field Communications". This voiceover was dropped when the "worms" version to...

Here's an appeal for membership on WTTW Channel 11 (from an original 2" quad master tape), with longtime staff announcer Marty Robinson speaking in the language associated with the TV series Zoom ("Ubbi Dubbi") - and his son Paul (shown in inset on the upper left side of the screen) translating for him.

Even the address is shown in "Zoom" language on the lower-third of the screen at first (set in Microgramma Bold Extended - or is that Mubicrubogrubammuba Bubold Ubextub...

Superjock is wearing a #89 jersey, which likely was a subtle (?) nod to his longtime home station WLS-AM 890 ("The Big 89").

Is there something in this ad that is slightly unsettling?

Here's another (partial) rare Snipets segment! These originally were created by and aired on the Kaiser Broadcasting / Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32, in the 70s and early 80s. However, with the sale and dissolution of Field starting in 1982, for whatever reason Snipets segments popped up on a few other non-Field or former-Field stations, even as late as 1986!
