Here's an emergency weather alert from WFLD Channel 32, advising of "severe snowstorms and travelers advisories."
Notice at the end, the Kaiser-era "32" logo, plus the use of various weights of the Avant Garde typeface, that typified the station's "look" within its 1973-77 interregnum under Kaiser Broadcasting ownership, plus the first year or so after Field Communications reasserted control.

WFLD Channel 32 - Lost in Space (Promo, 1977)

Here's a neat promo for Lost in Space on WFLD Channel 32. The opening super is patterned after the first (released) "Star Wars" movie which was referenced in the intro.
We also see the production slate at the beginning showing that this was number 8977 and was directed by Don Shannon. The promo was recorded on 8-10-77 - eight days after Channel 32's prior owner, Kaiser Broadcasting, was subsumed by original owner Field Communications.

Here's a commercial for a board game called Airline by MPH ("The Making People Happy people"). This Monopoly-similar game allowed the player to control the world's largest international airline - if you could handle the risks. A map of the world, plus key airline routes, are on the board, as well as major destinations on the outer edge where each player lands. Also comes with dice and colored chips. For 2 to 4 players.

Views: 2103 Here's another commercial for Kentucky Fried Chicken with its legendary founder, Colonel Harland Sanders (the original, not an incredible simulation) in Chicago. Here, he helps an old lady with one of her packages inside a building while explaining a deal for Chicagoans relating to his restaurants ("The Colonel's Special," an under $3.50 meal which is applicable only to those which have that banner and lasts until February 20th).
Here's the opening of The WGN 8:00 Movie presentation of "A Hard Day's Night" featuring the Beatles, on WGN Channel 9. Also includes a "Last Farewell" animated WGN station ID at the beginning, and a snippet of the beginning of an Imperial margarine ad at the end (voiceover by Peter Thomas).
