Here's a clip of the ending of Outdoor Sportsman on WCIU Channel 26. Joe Wyer had as a guest some kid that wrote into the show - can't quite make out his name - did he say Red? Brad? Rhett? Wouldn't that be neat if he found this clip here after 30 years?
Anyone know what the ending music is?
Outdoor Sportsman was on Saturdays at 5:30pm, right before Eddie Korosa's Polka Party. (in the early-to-mid 70's Outdoor Sportsman aired on WSNS Channel 44)

Not from a Chicago airing, but still appropriate, here's a local Chattanooga area commercial for A&M Toy Stores of East Ridge and Highland Plaza on Ringgold Road, and Eastgate Toyland of Eastgate (all of which were located within the Chattanooga, TN area), offering deals on Christmas gifts and toys from Fisher-Price. Seen around the Christmas tree are such offerings as the Sesame Street Clubhouse (with "three men in a tub" on top of the box), Riding Horse, and Play Family Farm. (Notic...
The Reluctant Robot (Part 1, 1980)

Here is Part 1 from another all but forgotten Field Communications special production - The Reluctant Robot. It was produced to get kids interested in Astronomical Science; pulsars, planets, space travel, etc. You can definitely see the influence from Star Wars a couple years earlier. The budget must not have been too great because the whole thing comes off as feeling like an episode of Dr. Who. (not that there's anything *wrong* with that) ;-)
Once again, I am pretty sure...
