Here is Part Three of "Good Health In" Wild Chicago on WTTW Channel 11. Featuring Ben Hollis as host. I believe this was a compilation of segments from earlier shows all with a health-related theme. Includes:

WTTW Channel 11 - Wild, Wild World Of Animals (Ending, 1983)

Here's the ending to Wild, Wild World of Animals on WTTW Channel 11 featuring that funky and memorable ending credits music. Thankfully, this was the first episode ending I've found where WTTW did not fade-out the credits early. (even though I remember the whole song vividly)

William Conrad (TV's Cannon) does the narration. This episode was about Bighorn Sheep of the Canadian Rockies. (unfortunately, no real episode list or guide seems to exist for this show)

WTTW Channel 11 - Movie 11 - "Threads" (Opening, 1987)

Here's the opening to a "Movie 11" presentation of Threads - a harrowing, deeply depressing look at the immediate and long-term effects of a full-scale nuclear war. This British film makes The Day After look like an episode of Gilligan's Island.

Just take your ol' Uncle Fuzz' advice - don't ever watch this movie - just don't. You'll feel better, trust me.

Features a quick bit of Fuzzy modification at the end, just for some morbid fun. ;-)

Image Union (Ending, 1989)

Here is the famous ending from WTTW Channel 11's great program Image Union - featuring "Media Burn" by Ant Farm. (Ending slightly cut off)

(I think in the earlier days of Image Union they used a different song during this ending - sounded like an engine revving in parts. I'll have to see if I can find that sometime.)

Search on YouTube if you want to see the complete Media Burn video.

Initial voice over by Marty Robinson. The other guy who does B...

Here is Part Four, the last part, of an "Islands" themed episode of Wild Chicago on WTTW Channel 11. Featuring Ben Hollis as host. I believe this was a compilation of segments from earlier shows all with an islands-related theme. Includes:

This aired on local Chicago TV on Monday, November 23rd 1987.

WTTW Channel 11 - Doctor Who - "The Max Headroom Pirating Incident" (1987)

During a broadcast of the Dr. Who episode "Horror of Fang Rock" on WTTW Chicago Channel 11, on Sunday November 22nd, 1987, at around 11:15pm, a Video "Pirate" wearing a Max Headroom mask broke into the signal and transmitted one of the weirdest, unauthorized things ever to hit the Chicago airwaves.

Earlier in the evening on the same day, during the Nine O'Clock News on Channel 9 (Yes, a completely different channel) the Max Headroom Pirate also broke in - although it was for a...

WTTW Channel 11 - "Show Ending, Promo & Start of News" (1974)

Here's a tiny snippet of the end of "Made in Chicago" (the predecessor to Soundstage) followed by a promo for Evening at Pops with the Carpenters (main voiceover by longtime WGBH Boston staff announcer William Pierce) (ending voiceover by Bob Longbons) and then a couple seconds of the beginning of the National Newswatch break. (voiceover by Bob Longbons)

Note: This was originally broadcast in color, but captured on this early home videotape recording in black and whi...
