Here's an example of some scrambled programming on Tele1st. As Chris (Phantom) described earlier, we see the picture cycling between normal and inverted (negative) colors. And the sound has a constant sharp percussive beat in the background while the program audio sounds like it is smooshed together.
All in all, I wouldn't have wanted to be a teenager on drugs while watching this.
I edited together some segments separated by fade-outs. This was worth $25.95...

Here is Part 1 of the Field Communications produced Way to Go! Special - an hour long (compilation?) showcase of some special kids and what they do. Has a lot of nice little slices of late seventies life as a kid. :-) The tape was dated May of 1980. My contact says that only a few of these "Specials" were made. Here's a promo for an upcoming fundraising auction on WTTW Channel 11, to be held from April 26th to May 2nd. Val Bettin, host of Channel 11's "The Storyteller" invites viewers to donate merchandise or services to be sold, and gives the phone number of the auction office to call to do so - 583-5000 (same one they have to this day!)
