Here's a very tiny snippet of a what appears to be a network news update from WMAQ Channel 5's legendary "Big Tuna," Floyd Kalber. Besides anchoring WMAQ's newscasts, Mr. Kalber for years was the anchor of weekday five-minute news updates that aired on the NBC Network at 11:55am CT (12:55pm ET). This in all likelihood was the last regularly-scheduled network program to originate from Chicago.

Here's Part 4 of a rare edition of the nightly Pulse newscast from WTVT Channel 13 in Tampa / St. Petersburg, Florida, transferred from the original 2" quad videotape. This was notable in featuring future Chicago TV legend Jim Ruddle anchoring out of St. Petersburg at various points. This part features him, Tampa-based Hugh Smith, and news director Ray Dantzler in the Pulse newsroom. Includes:

Ahh...so many memories of going to the one next to Forest Park Mall with my Dad as a kid, looking for a wooden shim or some kind of junk, and being incredibly bored. :-)
