Here's some rare footage from another long-lost local movie show - "The Money Movie" on WSNS TV-44! The movie presented on this day was "China Gate". TMM was similar in concept to Dialing for Dollars. Viewers (mostly lonely housewives and old people from what it sounds like) would send in post cards with their name and phone number, and the host would call them live on the air during the movie breaks to see if they could answer some trivia questions. Here's something pretty cool and rare - one of the oldest off-air WSNS clips I've ever personally found - a commercial break for the everybody's movie presentation (this was the 70s, hence no need to capitalize) of the 1943 Monty Woolley / Gracie Fields film "Holy Matrimony" on WSNS Channel 44. From what Chris Tufts (Phantom) recalls, this was a short-lived Sunday afternoon movie showcase. Includes:

WSNS Channel 44 - "Afternoons Are Fun On 44" (Promo, 1974)

Here's a very cool glimpse at some very old TV-44 - from 1974!

It's a slides-only promo of the afternoon lineup of WSNS Channel 44, which ranged "from cartoons to action" and at the time of this airing consisted of:

- 3pm - Robin Hood (presumably the 1950's British-made TV series with Richard Greene in the title role)

- 3:30pm - Popeye on 44 with Steve Hart (a what-ful of surprises?) ;-)

- 4pm - Spider-Man (...
