Here's Part 1 of a blooper reel from WBBM Channel 2, of outtakes of taped material that never made it to broadcast and a few live moments where anything could and did happen.

This part starts with a still of a live report with the socket of the CBS eye in the superimposed graphic escaping and falling to the bottom, accompanied by various sounds of breaking glass.

Here's a PSA for the Girls Clubs of America, with a female singer/guitarist extolling the virtues of the Girls Clubs, and film footage spotlighting a young gymnast interspersed with clips of one girl looking on as a car engine is being repaired, a stage audition with budding ballerinas, a campfire sing along, and a gathering in a room with a handwritten "DALLAS OR BUST" sign on the wall in one corner.

Here's another public service announcement of sorts - this one for the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest - The 33rd Annual Scholarship Program for Broadcast Scriptwriting. Sponsored by The Veterans of Foreign Wars. That year's topic: "My Role in America's Future". Features a previous year's winner - Marla (or Merla ?) Hansel (sp?) from Troy, Illinois.

Here's a neat promotional video made for WPWR Channel 60. Not sure how this was used or where it was shown, but it seems pretty clear that it wasn't used on-air.
