Here's a commercial for The House of Menna - Interior Designs. Phone 674-9200. According to my research they were located at 7165 North Cicero Avenue in Lincolnwood, IL. Here's an old print ad of theirs. They also used to advertise on the radio quite a bit on WKSC-FM 103.5 back in the early-mid 70s.

Here's an amusing early commercial for Pepe's Tacos. (they were only around for 13 years when this ad was done - now they're in their 42nd year)
Do you remember when Mexican food was considered "exotic" and Pepe's was just about the only place you could get it around Chicago and suburbs? (or maybe it was just me, but I don't remember eating at any other Mexican restaurants until I was quite a bit older)
"Pepe's T...

I am too tired to fill in the info on this part yet. Too much work to do. :-(

Here's a commercial for Illinois Bell, spotlighting such devices for making communication easier as a fan which activates itself when the phone rings, an electronic larnyx for people with impaired vocal cords, and a phone that transmits messages with a flashing light.

WFLD Channel 32 - Son of Svengoolie - "The 3-D Movie" (Opening, 1982)

Here's the open from Son of Svengoolie episode Number 158 - the famous 3-D Movie - Revenge of the Creature! A great (slightly disappointing) moment in Chicago Broadcasting History! ;-)
I included the first couple minutes of the movie so you could see a little bit of the 3D effect - not so much during the titles, but as the movie starts you can see even without the glasses how the picture looks a little different. Not really sure how this was supposed to work with a black and...
