WTTW Channel 11 - Wild, Wild World Of Animals (Ending, 1983)

Here's the ending to Wild, Wild World of Animals on WTTW Channel 11 featuring that funky and memorable ending credits music. Thankfully, this was the first episode ending I've found where WTTW did not fade-out the credits early. (even though I remember the whole song vividly)

William Conrad (TV's Cannon) does the narration. This episode was about Bighorn Sheep of the Canadian Rockies. (unfortunately, no real episode list or guide seems to exist for this show)

Son Of Svengoolie - "I Was A Teenage Werewolf" (Opening, 1980/1982)

Here is something kind of unique - the opening for Son of Sven featuring the film "I Was A Teenage Werewolf". However, this opening was used twice - once for episode number 34 (the first time he showed the movie) and again for episode number 156 (the second time he showed it) with slight variation. You can identify the older footage by noticing Sven's bushier mustache which coincides with that era.

It looks like for episode 156 he just tacked on the beginning segment with the...

Here's a very cool glimpse at some very old TV-44 - from 1974!

It's a slides-only promo of the afternoon lineup of WSNS Channel 44, which ranged "from cartoons to action" and at the time of this airing consisted of:

- 3pm - Robin Hood (presumably the 1950's British-made TV series with Richard Greene in the title role)

- 3:30pm - Popeye on 44 with Steve Hart (a what-ful of surprises?) ;-)

- 4pm - Spider-Man (...

Here's a segment of the kids news featurette, In The News - which deals with the subject of acid rain, and in particular its destructive effect on the plant and wildlife of the Big Moose Lake in upstate New York State and hundreds of other lakes in the Northeastern United States and Canada. A clip of Dr. Dwight Webster (a Cornell University scientist who bred a strain of brook trout that could better adapt and survive in acidic lakes) is briefly shown.
