Here's Part 3 of an edition of Newscope on WFLD Channel 32, anchored by Patrick Muldowney.

WMAQ Channel 5 - Off the Wall (Opening & Break, 1977)

Remember that classic sitcom from 1977 called "Off the Wall"? No? Well neither does anyone else because it only aired once - on May 7th 1977. A failed television pilot.

What do you think the odds are that someone in the Chicagoland area (not connected with the production of the show) recorded the entire show, with the original commercial breaks intact, didn't ever record over the tape, and then saved the tape for 38 years before we got our hands on it? (just to give you some hi...

WLS Channel 7 - "The Original 3:30 (4:30) Movie Opening!" (1969-1973?)

Ok, I couldn't resist doing a little "photoshop job" on the 4:30 Movie logo to make it look like 3:30. ;-) But this is still a significant find - the original opening to the ABC 4:30 Movie in New York (which apparently was exactly the same as the WLS 3:30 Movie here in Chicago, except with the title changed)

My thanks to YouTuber mazinz2 (Doug) for discovering this, and for generously donating a copy of the ...
