Not from Chicago, but still interesting (and pertinent) - here's another example of the animated "Field Communications" ID bumper, this time from WLVI Channel 56 in Boston, Massachusetts. (Another example, from KBHK Channel 44 in San Francisco, can be seen here; both stations were sisters to our own WFLD Channel 32 up to Field Communications' dissolution in 1983.)

WSNS Channel 44 - "Stars" (Partial Station ID Slide, 1977)
Here's another rarity - a partial station ID with a cool slide from WSNS TV-44. This aired at the beginning of an episode of The Invisible Man (series) which you can see a little bit of after the partial ID. The only other date clue I have is the ending credits which say that "To Tell The Truth" is next. Can any of our Schedule Sleuths find out when this might be from?

Here's a commercial for Preparation H with two news anchors in need of relief from the pain of hemorrhoids. For use three times a day.
Look towards the end for an Ampex VR-2000 color videotape recorder in the equipment room where the two anchors meet after their relief. This was the first "high-band" quad videotape recorder, first introduced in 1964 and used all throughout the industry into the 1980's - including many of the Chicago TV stations.
