The Reluctant Robot (Part 1, 1980)

Here is Part 1 from another all but forgotten Field Communications special production - The Reluctant Robot. It was produced to get kids interested in Astronomical Science; pulsars, planets, space travel, etc. You can definitely see the influence from Star Wars a couple years earlier. The budget must not have been too great because the whole thing comes off as feeling like an episode of Dr. Who. (not that there's anything *wrong* with that) ;-)
Once again, I am pretty sure...
Way to Go! Special (Part 2, 1980)

Here is Part 2 of the Field Communications produced Way to Go! Special - an hour long (compilation?) showcase of some special kids and what they do. Has a lot of nice little slices of late seventies life as a kid. :-) The tape was dated May of 1980. My contact says that only a few of these "Specials" were made. The theme music sounds warbly - I wonder if that was a technical problem at WGN or something with this tape recording. I do not hear the warble after the music ends - can anyone tell?
