Emergency Broadcast System Test (Tiny Excerpt, 1977)
Here's a clip that's very short but also very rare. On the 1977 WSNS tape, between the two episodes of Superman there was a quick switch to something that might have been recorded previously - a small excerpt of an Emergency Broadcast System test. You can see the slide used for it and make out a word or two of the announcement "Broadcasters...(in your area, probably)"
Slide says: "Emergency Broadcast System - Official Government Information - Civil Defense Instructions"

Here's a special and rare treat for the 35th Anniversary of the infamous "Disco Demolition" event! (please excuse the ghosty picture quality and buzzy audio)
Includes:
Part 1 of the TV44 Sports Spotlight with Jim Durham, with the San Diego Chicken (a.k.a. Ted Giannoulas) as guest, as aired on WSNS Channel 44 just before the first game of a proposed doubleheader with the Detroit Tigers that was followed by the infamous "Disco Demolition Night." Inc...

Here's one of the few glimpses yet found of a show that a lot of people remember and have requested footage of - Monster Rally Movie! This aired on WSNS Channel 44 and reportedly had it's own host - a mysterious figure in a creepy costume. Here we get to see another partial commercial bumper from the show - the only type of footage (other than the movie itself) known to exist currently. The movie this night was the very weird 1973 film Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural.
WSNS Channel 44 - Monster Rally Movie (Bumper Excerpt, 197?)

Here's something pretty rare - an (unfortunately) partial bumper for the Monster Rally Movie - this one being the first glimpse of one that we've seen with the spooky voiceover announcer - "...on 44..." (it doesn't sound like the "host" of Monster Rally Movie, John Dickinson (seen here in the taped opening segment) could it be Don Ferris doing a scary voice?)
Also includes a snippet of a couple "Community...

Here's the "Mail Time" segment of Popeye with Steve Hart on WSNS Channel 44. Includes:
Steve starting off in front of Captain Salty, going on about what happened with "Dear Crabby" early on, with Bookie Worm (the voice of Nancy Boyle) at the desk. He then goes to the big Popeye spinach jar to select four lucky winners - the fifth who says "I Watch Popeye on Channel 44" to be invited to the lighthouse (he ends up taking one extra letter).

WSNS Channel 44 - The Dating Game - "Joey D'Auria" (Part 1, 1980)

What are the odds? Recorded at random and saved without meaning to, here is an episode of The Dating Game on WSNS Channel 44. Cool enough because it has the original commercial breaks intact - however as I was scanning through it I slowly recognized the face - Chicago's Bozo the Clown the Second, Mr. Joey D'Auria was one of the bachelors!
In Part 1, we hear the intro to the show given by host Jim Lange - it's cut off slightly, however from what he says later in the sho...
