Not from Chicago, but still of interest - here's a station ID for KMIR Channels 6 and 36 in Palm Springs, California, affiliated then as now with NBC. (Channel 36 is the main channel, Channel 6 was its cable TV dial position; the '6' ID remained part of their logo up until the end of 2013.)

The bulletin came at the end of a commercial break and interrupted an edition of The Midnight Special which featured The Village People amongst the musical guests.
