WGN Channel 9 - Saturday Matinee - "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" (Partial Bumper, 1981?)

Here is a very brief glimpse of a bumper for the WGN Channel 9 Saturday Matinee - at the end of a presentation of "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein".

If you pause the video at the right spot, you can see the yellow Saturday Matinee slide featuring a movie camera. This is the only example of this bumper or opening we have right now.

Not sure of the date, but this probably aired on local Chicago TV in late 1981 (around Halloween?) or perhaps 1982.

Gigglesnort Hotel (Opening)

Here is the opening from one of the best and most remembered Chicago children's shows (although it was eventually syndicated to other markets) - Gigglesnort Hotel.

Even though it was seen for many years after it was produced, the show was only in production for 3 years - 1975, 1976, and 1977. In Chicago, it aired on Sunday mornings on WLS Channel 7.

Here's the full one-minute version of the now-famous Coca-Cola commercial from 1979 with football great Mean Joe Greene and then 12-year-old child actor Tommy Okin who offered him a Coke as he was heading towards the locker room.
