WGN Channel 9 - WGN Thursday Night Movie - "Taxi Driver TV Disclaimer Ending" (1982)

On WGN Channel 9, the Thursday Night Movie one particular evening was Martin Scorsese' Taxi Driver - what you might call a "difficult" film to air on regular broadcast television. Besides making some comical expletive overdubs, they added this curious disclaimer to the end of the film, which was not present in the theatrical or DVD releases, as seen here:

Here is Part 4, the last part, of a (mostly complete) episode of The Dennis Green Show on WCIU Channel 26. Dennis Green was the coach of the Northwestern Wildcats - the college football team of Northwestern University. Co-hosted by Duane Dow - voice of the Wildcats.

Featuring, among others, Coach Francis Peay (at that time an assistant coach) who was head football coach at Northwestern University from 1986 to 1991.

Here's a demo reel from R/Greenberg Associates (now known as R/GA Media Group Inc.), which was a New York-based graphic production house that worked in film with animation and live-action effects.

This came from a 3/4" Umatic tape that was kept by Cathy Mustari, art director for WFLD Channel 32 from 1974 to the late '80's, from a time when the station was actively shopping for production houses to handle their graphics for opens/closes, bumpers, promos, etc.

Here's Part 3, the last part, of a NewsCenter5 Special Report on WMAQ Channel 5 about the great snowstorm of 1979. Features Chuck Henry, Jim Ruddle, Jim Tilmon, Dick Kay.

This part mostly seems to be a rehash of earlier reports in the broadcast - which perhaps explains why the person recording this decided to cut out early. Unfortunately, we miss the live discussion with Governor Thompson.
