This aired on local Chicago TV on Sunday, March 1st 1981.

This was Break 5, Segment 5.
Those aren't 8 tracks, those are cart tapes spinning on Son of Svengoolie's platter. WHAT is actually AM 1340 in Philadelphia. KWIT is actually FM 90.3 in Sioux City. WAXX is 104.5 FM in Eau Claire. KUDD is 107.9 FM in Roy, Utah. Surprisingly, there is no radio station with the call letters KOLD but they are C...

WMAQ Channel 5 - Movie 5 - "The Ape Man" (Opening & PSA's, 1988)
Here is the opening of a late movie feature of "The Ape Man" on WMAQ Channel 5. It starts out with some kind of time-filler - a Channel 5 logo over some rock music which goes on for over a minute, and then the opening to the "Movie 5" begins - I've seen this opening before used in New York so I think it was a national thing.
Then, strangely, between the Movie 5 opening and the start of the film, they show the following PSA's:
U.S. Postal Service featuring Ann Ro...

Here's another "lost" (or heretofore undiscovered) Son of Sven segment!
It's a hilariously free-form partial mail segment from Son of Svengoolie Episode #80, on WFLD Channel 32, in which "Monster on the Campus" [1958] was shown, with four cheerleaders from the Chicago Lions taking turns sitting with Sven as they explain who they are and show various mail sent by viewers (and Sven advising they send birthday greetings three weeks in advance!). (one of these...
WFLD Channel 32 - Son Of Svengoolie - "Trog" (Opening, 1985)
Here's the opening to another episode of Son of Svengoolie that hasn't been seen in over 24 years! This was number 287 where he was presenting the movie "Trog" starring Joan Crawford - a really hilariously bad movie in parts.
Here he references Mommie Dearest - where it instead becomes "Troggie Dearest". :-)
This aired on local Chicago TV on Saturday, January 26th 1985.

(Sorry for the loud volume - this is the lowest setting I could get it without a lot of hassle)
This aired on local Chicago TV on Sunday, March 28th 1971. (recorded off of early reel-to-reel videotape)
