Here is the opening of a late movie feature of "The Ape Man" on WMAQ Channel 5. It starts out with some kind of time-filler - a Channel 5 logo over some rock music which goes on for over a minute, and then the opening to the "Movie 5" begins - I've seen this opening before used in New York so I think it was a national thing.

Then, strangely, between the Movie 5 opening and the start of the film, they show the following PSA's:
