Here's a commercial for the videogame Pitfall! by Activision and featuring at the beginning a very young-looking appearance of the actor Jack Black - rockin' the pith helmet.

That girl at the end - I remember her from Twilight Zone: The Movie too - but I know she's been in lots of other stuff from the time period.

WFLD Channel 32 - America 2 Night (Bumper Excerpts #1, 1978)

Here's a brief glimpse at a couple commercial bumpers from America 2 Night on WFLD Channel 32 from 1978 - still featuring the Kaiser-era logo.

The first one, before it gets cut off, features the zooming show name and WFLD logo - an effect they used for many years on a variety of shows.

The second one, sounds like it has a special ID voiceover by Martin Mull made specifically for WFLD - sure sounds like his voice to me, anyway.

This aired on local...

Viacom - "Special Delivery" (1984)

Here's a "Special Delivery From Viacom" logo animation that aired at the end of the Twilight Zone Silver Anniversary special. I don't think I've ever seen this one before. Certainly a vast improvement in tone over the grim "V of Doom".

(I don't know if the audio's a bit wobbly or it's supposed to sound like that)

Nowadays about the only "Special Delivery" people usually get from Viacom is...

Here's Part 5 of a rare surviving edition of Bill Jackson's The BJ & Dirty Dragon Show on WFLD Channel 32. This was from the original 2" quadruplex master tape. Includes:

Wally still looking for Weird, and B.J. hoping that he didn't go into that old house - whereupon the Box plays "Taps." B.J. then starts to draw a picture of "Mr. Mean," starting with the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth, before we cut to Dr. Doompuss inside the house and going into the room where Weird...
