Here's an example of the kids' interstitial cartoon, "The Most Important Person" airing on WFLD Channel 32. This one - "Why Not Try?", occured as a special time-filling "bonus" at the end of an episode of Lost in Space. Notice that there are no superimposed titles in the opening credits stating the episode name as there are in other existing film copies that came from school library collections. (Color is also a lot ...

Here is probably the most famous segment of the animated short "The Most Important Person". This one's called "OOPS, I Made A Mistake!".

In Chicago, these aired during commercial breaks on WFLD Channel 32 and WTTW Channel 11 during the seventies and possibly as late as the early eighties.

This is pretty cool - an old movie opening that they may have used a version of on WFLD - one of WKBD's sister stations.

Here's the opening to The Sunday Movie broadcast of "The Mudlark" on WKBD Channel 50 in Detroit. Check out those groovy green graphics. Also includes at the beginning the animated Kaiser Broadcasting ID and a WKBD bumper slide for Father's Day. (voiceover by ??)

WFLD Channel 32 - The Three Stooges (Color Bumper #2, 1981?)

Here is another COLOR bumper (same one) for The Three Stooges on WFLD Channel 32.

Same bumper, but has a little snippet at the end of a lost animated Eckrich Farms commercial.

Based on the small snippet of the MCI Commercial at the end of this clip, I'd say this was probably from 1981. (The same MCI commercial can be found here in a commercial break for AM Chicago from 1981.)

The music during the bumper is "Knock Knock" by Spike Jones.

Here's an animated public service announcement from the Food & Drug Administration imploring you to throw out your old and expired medications as well as not to use medications which were not prescribed to you.

Toys "R" Us (Christmas Commercial #4, 1981)

Here's an animated Christmas commercial for Toys "R" Us, with Geoffrey the Giraffe and his family gathered 'round the fireplace before heading off to the area Toys "R" Us store to sample all the toys being offered - all to a special holiday-themed arrangement of "The World's Biggest Toy Store...The Biggest Selection" jingle.

This particular (and memorable) ad had aired at least since 1976, but in this form (with a notice t...
