Here's one more quick bit I found from WOR Channel 9 in New York - a slide with an excerpt of a live news update. These people must have had an early cable system here that picked this up.

Voiceover by Ray Marland.

Here's a classic commercial - so many quotable lines in this one - for the game Operation from Milton Bradley.

Here's an animated Public Service Annoucement with a Noah's Ark take-off from the U.S. Department of Transportation asking you to follow "Kalaka" - the practice of sharing a ride. Why it's called "Kalaka" I have no idea.

This aired on local Chicago TV during the third week of March 1982.

Here is some amazing, ancient footage that really has no business existing.
;-)

Finally the "classic" Movie Eleven opening from the 70's, complete. Prior to this the only footage I found was a brief snippet of the title card. This was a unique night because they were showing a 4 part episode of Dr. Who, "The Claws of Axos". The showed the episodes back-to-back with a brief intermission between ...

WFBN Channel 66 - The Avengers - "Technical Funk-Up" (1985)

Here's a technical difficulties moment from WFBN Channel 66 during a broadcast of The Avengers.

We see the abrupt end of a commercial offer for a Civil War Chess Set and then a TV-66 "Road sign" station ID. Something's not quite kosher though as the interruption continues and the operator decides to make the most of it by playing some funky music (an excerpt of the song "What Is Hip", by Tower of Power) before the program returns.

(picture's a bi...

Viacom - "Special Delivery" (1984)

Here's a "Special Delivery From Viacom" logo animation that aired at the end of the Twilight Zone Silver Anniversary special. I don't think I've ever seen this one before. Certainly a vast improvement in tone over the grim "V of Doom".

(I don't know if the audio's a bit wobbly or it's supposed to sound like that)

Nowadays about the only "Special Delivery" people usually get from Viacom is...
