This came from a 3/4" Umatic tape that was kept by Cathy Mustari, art director for WFLD Channel 32 from 1974 to the late '80's, from a time when the station was actively shopping for production houses to handle their graphics for opens/closes, bumpers, promos, etc.

This station has a bit of a confusing history, but it now occupies the frequency 1690 AM.
WVON was a "heritage" station to Chicago's black community featuring great Black air personalities like Lucky Cordell, Bruce Brown, Herb Kent "the cool gent", Yvonne Daniels and many others. WVON became well-known outside the Chicago area as well. Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records, sent every song he produced immediately to WVON before any other station. Here's a fun commercial for Kraft Barbecue ( BBQ ) Sauce - The Boss Sauce - featuring the "Oh Yeah!" guy. :-)
The "Oh Yeah!" guy was played by actor Timmie Rogers. He was a regular on The Melba Moore-Clifton Davis show as well as a supporting player on various sitcoms such as Sanford & Son. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 91.

Here's another of the promotional "image spots" for WTTW Channel 11 created by veteran Emmy-award-winning producer Rick Kotrba.
