Here's a rare old promo for Son of Svengoolie episode number 46, showing the movie, "Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman". This episode aired on Saturday, May 24th 1980 at 8pm.

This was before they had the Son of Svengoolie theme song (written by Doug Scharf) and instead were still using the old Jerry G. Bishop Svengoolie theme, "Rumble".

I knew I remembered Sven making a Rula Lenska reference!...

Here's the (mostly complete) opening for the NBC Saturday Night at the Movies presentation of "KISS Meets the Phantom" (A.K.A., "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park) on WMAQ Channel 5. They even did a WMAQ on-screen station ID during it. (the recording missed about the first half of the NBC opening though)

If only the rest of the movie was as moderately entertaining as the opening credits.

Here's another classic Son of Sven bit which most likely aired during episode 129 featuring the movie "Tales of Terror" - Dr. Rābbees (Dr. Pepper parody) and Transfusion Punch (Hawaiian Punch parody).

These bits were recycled from an earlier show - anyone know when they appeared originally? Did they always get shown together back-to-back like that?

Not sure what episode this was from but it was definitely from the eighties, probably around 1983.

Here's another super-rare glimpse at the Thing Theatre movie program on WSNS Channel 44 - a partial bumper, during an airing of "Wrestling Women Vs. The Aztec Mummy" - an example of one of the low budget Mexican horror films produced during the late-50s and 60s.

We can see the same logo font style as featured in the opening of the show, with a color scheme more reminiscent of WSNS'
