Snipets - "Family Fire Drill" (1982)
Here's something I found which was produced by Field Communications (or Field Enterprises as it says on the case): Family Fire Drill. It's dated 6/18/82.
This was at one time one of the Snipets - although why it wouldn't have the opening and closing is anyone's guess.
Snipets - "What Will I Be When I Grow Up?" (1980)

Here is another rare Snipets segment! These would air on Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32 in the 70's and 80's.
This one is a bit fuzzy, but it's the best we have so far. This one also features the older "patchwork" logo of Snipets as well as a different group of kids saying "Snipets!". There is also a voiceover at the end which sounds like George Takei - "Snipets are produced by Field Communications". This voiceover was dropped when the "worms" version to...

Here is a station sign-on for WMAQ Channel 5 and the opening of "The Health Field" (which also aired on WSNS Channel 44 at various times) Includes:
16 seconds of Color Bars and tone.
WMAQ-TV Chicago 5 logo and silence for about a minute, 15 seconds.
Black for about 45 seconds. (Exciting, eh?)
WMAQ-TV Chicago 5 logo (brighter?) and Station Sign-On voiceover, "Good Morning. This is WMAQ-TV Channel 5 NBC Television in Chicago, welcom...

Here's another rare Snipets segment! These originally were created by and [primarily] aired on the Kaiser Broadcasting / Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32, in the 1970's and early '80's. However, in a discovery that is sure to change SnipetsHistory forever - this one was discovered on a Betamax recording of a broadcast of the Star Trek episode "The Savage Curtain" on WDCA Channel 20 (Washington, D.C.) from April of 1980!
At this time the Field ...

Here is Part 3 of a long-forgotten Field Communications produced program for kids called Way to Go. This episode (which may infact be the first one) is from 1980. Peter Kastner is the host.
I am pretty sure this was produced at the Field station KBHK-TV Channel 44 in San Francisco.
This program aired on WFLD Channel 32 in Chicago on Sunday mornings at 9:30am in July of 1981 (Thanks, smctopia!) and may have aired at other times too.
Not sure if this...

Here's another rare Snipets segment! These originally were created by and aired on the Kaiser Broadcasting / Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32, in the 70s and early 80s. However, with the sale and dissolution of Field starting in 1982, for whatever reason Snipets segments popped up on a few other non-Field or former-Field stations, even as late as 1986!
This particular a...
Way to Go! Special (Part 1, 1980)

Here is Part 1 of the Field Communications produced Way to Go! Special - an hour long (compilation?) showcase of some special kids and what they do. Has a lot of nice little slices of late seventies life as a kid. :-) The tape was dated May of 1980. My contact says that only a few of these "Specials" were made. Like I said, I'm not sure if these were compilations of segments shown on the regular Way to Go program, or if they were specifically produced for these specials. I am pretty sur...
