ON TV - "Women In Love" (Preview Excerpt, 1980?)

Here's the ending of a program called "Orson Welles at the Magic Castle" which has a copyright of 1978 - at the end is an ON TV Coming Attractions bumper and the start of a preview of "Women in Love".

Not sure when this aired but it could date to 1980, in which case it would still make this one of the oldest (if not the oldest) ON TV clip yet found.

ON TV - "The Cat And The Canary" (Opening, 1982)

Here's the opening for the ON TV presentation of the Bob Hope movie "The Cat and the Canary". Includes the ON TV logo animation at the beginning, but curiously, no MPAA ratings notice. It couldn't be that it's just an innocuous G-rated film, because they would show the rating even when it was G. Strange.

Here's another ON TV on-screen station ID - during the movie "It's My Turn" which starred Jill Clayburgh and Michael Douglas. (I know this drags on, but I couldn't help seeing how long the clip would go without Michael Douglas saying anything coherent) :-)

This aired on local Chicago TV on Wednesday, December 16th 1981.

Here's an early, "Coming Soon" ON TV promo that features some logo animation that I don't think I've seen before. Also features scenes from various movies promising, uncut, unedited films.

Voiceover by Don Ferris.
