Here is a perhaps unintentionally funny commercial that ran a lot on local Chicago stations during the 1980's. This airing is from circa 1987. I call it the Cocaine Monkey commercial - it's for Parkside Medical Services.

Yes, that monkey gave up even sex. That's hard to do for a monkey.

P.S. - I always thought that guy looked like a monkey too.

I think this clip dates to March 1983, since Quest for Fire was not released in the US until 1982, so I don't think cable would have gotten it until the next year.
