A true fuzzy memory (since the reception was pretty bad) - here's Commercial Break #1 from the Son of Svengoolie presentation of "Attack of the Mushroom People" on WFLD Channel 32, which features Chicago Radio DJ Bobby Skafish (doing his best Mick Jagger impersonation - well, physically - not vocally) and "The Not-Ready-For-VHF Blues Band" performing his singing tribute to Sven. (the song Bobby sings is a parody of the old blues song "The Seventh Son" by Willie Dixon)

Here is the opening for the NBC Friday Night at the Movies presentation of "Midway". Also includes the EDITED FOR TELEVISION on-screen message at end. (I think the music at the beginning is cut off slightly - every example I find is like this - they cut right from a commercial or ID into the opening and it is always clipped a bit)

Voiceover by Casey Kasem.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, February 29th 1980.

By request, here's the opening of The Best of Groucho - You Bet Your Life on WFLD Channel 32. Quality's kind of iffy but this is the best we have.

Here is a Station ID in Spanish for WCIU Channel 26 and W55AS Channel 55 in Milwaukee set at the Chicago lakefront.

"This is WCIU-TV, channel 26, Chicago's first UHF TV station, and W55AS, channel 55 in Milwaukee; serving with pride the Spanish speaking community."

Music used in the background is "Sometimes in Winter" by Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Not sure when they used this ID, but 1985 seems a good estimate, based on other material on the tape. (Alt...
