Here's an admittedly extra fuzzy commercial break from an airing of a Saturday All Night Movies presentation of "Journey to the Center of Time" on WSNS Channel 44. Also it's in Black and White, as it was recorded that way. For you TV-44 diehards only. :-) Includes:

Son of Svengoolie - Assorted Clips Compilation (Part 9)

This was on the same tape as the other bits, so I am calling it part 9 from a compilation of assorted Son of Svengoolie clips. I did not make this compilation - it has been floating around the trading circles for a long time, and this is the best copy I've been able to find. It has some neat clips you will not see anywhere else.

Featuring:

What looks like an Entertainment Tonight (from Friday the 13th of - 1983, 1984?) report on local horror hosts from around th...

WFLD Channel 32 - "Mighty Woodpecker" (Opening Screw-Up, 1981)

Here's the opening for what was supposed to be Mighty Mouse on WFLD Channel 32, but instead they played the opening video for Woody Woodpecker. The voiceover by Dr. Don is correct though.

The screw-up likely occured because Mighty Mouse had replaced Woody Woodpecker in this timeslot about a month prior to this airing.

Notice, the font on the WFLD Woody Woodpecker logo is a bit different than the more rounded design

WMAQ Channel 5 - NewsCenter5 - "ElectroNewsMusik" (Ending, 1976)

I believe someone asked for this once - the weird electronic music that NewsCenter5 apparently used before they replaced it with a more traditional sounding (yet still Electronic-tinged) theme. So, here's an ending of NewsCenter5 on WMAQ Channel 5 that I found recently that features the music. Also has a voiceover promo by Lorry Young for NBC's Saturday Night (later known as Saturday Night Live) Lastly t...

WSNS Channel 44 - "Afternoons Are Fun On 44" (Promo, 1974)

Here's a very cool glimpse at some very old TV-44 - from 1974!

It's a slides-only promo of the afternoon lineup of WSNS Channel 44, which ranged "from cartoons to action" and at the time of this airing consisted of:

- 3pm - Robin Hood (presumably the 1950's British-made TV series with Richard Greene in the title role)

- 3:30pm - Popeye on 44 with Steve Hart (a what-ful of surprises?) ;-)

- 4pm - Spider-Man (...
