Here is the opening of a late movie feature of "The Ape Man" on WMAQ Channel 5. It starts out with some kind of time-filler - a Channel 5 logo over some rock music which goes on for over a minute, and then the opening to the "Movie 5" begins - I've seen this opening before used in New York so I think it was a national thing.

Here's Part 1 of an episode of Bill Jackson's Gigglesnort Hotel (entitled "Vanity", which was Episode #17 of the series, and whose original airdate was Sunday, May 11th 1975.)

This aired on Channel 7 - WSVN Channel 7 in Miami / Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that is. (The station was an NBC affiliate at the time; it is today an affiliate of the FOX television network.)

Another hard-to-find one bites the dust! Here's the opening for The Late Movie on WGN Channel 9 presenting "Three Faces West". This is the long-running opening which used unique "kaleidoscope" artwork and a soundtrack of "Take Five" by Dave Brubek. This opening was used for many years throughout the 1970's.
