Here's a partial commercial break from a Late Night Movie airing of the movie "Flareup" on WLS Channel 7. Chris Tufts (Phantom), our resident schedule sleuth, found it. I'll fill in the video description once we've got everything.

The transfer of this video clip made possible by your generous donations!
Here's a rare segment from the morning show Kennedy and Company on WLS Channel 7, hosted by the late Bob Kennedy. This was the predecessor to AM Chicago (which was begun after Kennedy's death in 1974), and is considered in some corners to be an ancestor to the recently-ended The Oprah Winfrey Show.
This segment was devoted to the disc jockeys of WLS Musicradio 8...

Here's an excerpt of the opening for the Son of Svengoolie presentation of "Assignment Terror" on WFLD Channel 32.
Sven was at Six Flags Great America that day (recently taken over from Marriott's in 1984) to help promote the March of Dimes telethon that was also hosted at the park.
The recording starts late and ends early - the video was recorded over but the audio remains for a few more seconds at the end of the clip.
This aired on local Chicag...

Voiceover by Garry Meier (verified by Rob Hart - "He says they were taping the Steve & Garry special "Not for Midgets Only" when the Channel 5 people asked him to record a couple of promos.")

WFLD Channel 32 - Tic Tac Dough - "Screwy Voiceover" (Bumper Promo, 1980)
Here's a bumper promo for Tic Tac Dough on WFLD Channel 32. The Jim Barton voiceover started late and so we get to hear more of the background Field Communications music than usual.
They also screwed up because Tic Tac Dough wasn't next, Joker's Wild was. (with no Newscene update)
Mercifully, they then cut the whole thing off.
This aired on local Chicago TV on Monday, October 27th 1980 at 7:30pm.

Hostess Snacks - "Win a Solid Gold Twinkie!" (Commercial, 1981)
Here's another vintage commercial for Hostess Snacks - Twinkies, Fruit Pies (with real filling!) (and real saturated fat!), and Cup Cakes - featuring a contest to win a $50,000 Solid Gold Twinkie cake. Wow, I wonder if the person who won it still has it. Gold has gone up I think, so I wonder how much it would be worth now.
(this commercial is a shortened version of one I already posted)
