Here's Part 1 of an episode of The Warren Freiberg Show on WCIU Channel 26. In case you weren't familiar with him, Warren Freiberg had some rather "extreme" and "fringe" opinions. He had a radio show, and you may also remember him turning up in little vignettes on Steve Dahl's "It's Too Early" show from 1983.
This part begins with a partial WCIU-TV Station ID (voiceover by Bill O'Connor) followed by the opening credits (anyone know who does the voiceover?)
Then...

Here is an interview and story with Paul McCartney by Pat Collins, from The CBS Morning News with Phyllis George and Bill Kurtis (who would later work again at WBBM Channel 2).
It tells how Paul McCartney turned his fortune made with the Beatles into a financial empire from Copyright ownership. Too bad he gave some advice to Michael Jackson, who wound up outbidding him for Northern Songs (ATV), and gained control of most of the Beatles' catalog. And thus, a Sun Chips commerci...

Here is a vintage clip from WTTW Channel 11 in Chicago showing the opening to Sneak Previews with Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel.
Note the announcer at the beginning of the clip - Don Ferris - this is the same person doing some of the voice over work for WSNS Channel 44 at around the same time.
Also note the old WTTW 11 ID bumper - I forgot that they didn't have any music or "frame" effect on these back then.
This aired on local Chicago TV on Saturday...
