Hot Fudge Show (Part 3, 1974)

Here's Part 3 of an episode of the Hot Fudge Show - which was produced in Detroit but also aired all over the country, including Chicago on WFLD, WSNS, and WLS, at various times during the 70's and early 80's.

This segment features another sketch with Arte Johnson and the Mitts and the Hot Fudge Newsreel Show featuring a visit to a paper-making plant.

Despite what the IMDB entry and Wikipedia entries say, the show began in 1974, as this episode is from that year ...

WCIU Channel 26 - The Warren Freiberg Show (Part 4, 1981)

Here's Part 4 of an episode of The Warren Freiberg Show on WCIU Channel 26. In case you weren't familiar with him, Warren Freiberg had some rather "extreme" and "fringe" opinions. He had a radio show, and you may also remember him turning up in little vignettes on Steve Dahl's "It's Too Early" show from 1983.

This part features Warren and Libby continuing their talk with video-recording pioneer (and comic book store pioneer) Larry Charet (yes, the legendary man who accidently r...

WLS Channel 7 - Eyewitness News - "Just Themselves" (Promo, 1973?)

Here's a neat promo for the WLS Channel 7 all-star Eyewitness News team Flynn-Daly-Coleman-Frink-And-Drury. (Fahey Flynn, Joel Daly, John Coleman, Bill Frink, and John Drury)

Featuring Don Ferris (former WSNS and WTTW announcer) as the old-time radio guy in the tux at the beginning.

Directed by the legendary Joe Sedelmaier. (of "Where's the Beef" fame, and countless others)

Not sure what year this is from, but 1973 seems a good estimate.

This clip made possible by the donations from our generous group of "Fuzzketeers" during the Spring 2012 Tape Transfer Fundraiser.

Here's Part 2 of the Illinois State Lottery's Super Shot program on WSNS Channel 44. This was the Lottery's basketball-related game (the "Super Shot" signified hitting a basket). The hosts were Bob Hale and Sandie Wolsfeld. Includes:

WFLD Channel 32 - Super Cartoon Sunrise - "Hot Fudge / Brady Kids Variation" (Opening, 1982)

Here's one more opening for Super Cartoon Sunrise on WFLD Channel 32, which was saved on 16mm film. The lineup consists here of Hot Fudge, Magilla Gorilla, Brady Kids, Woody Woodpecker, and Popeye.

The theme song used is a jazzy, funky, disco-fied instrumental version of "Hail, Hail, The Gang's All Here." (anyone know where it came from or who played on it?)

Since the other openings were made there, we can assume this...

KCOP Channel 13 - Romper Room (Excerpts and Commercial Break, 1977)

Here's a neat and rare clip of the local Los Angeles Romper Room show from 1977! (this was yet another "easter egg" found at the end of a Betamax tape whose contents had been partially recorded over - boy, do we love these!)

The host was Miss Soco (Socorro Swan - now Socorro Serrano) who incidentally was the only Latina teacher the show ever had in all of its incarnations. She presided over the LA-area Romper Room from 1975 to 1989, having taken over from Miss Mary A...

WTTW Channel 11 - Inside Educational Television (Part 1, 1960)

Here's a rare glimpse at some early history of WTTW Channel 11 - an installment of their locally produced "Inside Educational Television" program.

It is hosted by WTTW's "Director of Development", Ed Morris - who famously later went on to become the General Manager of WSNS Channel 44!

Joined by Ed is Duane M. Weiss, WTTW's Director of Engineering at the time (who was actually with the station all the way back to before its official inception).
