WFLD Channel 32 - Movie For A Saturday Afternoon - "The Big Broadcast of 1938" (Bumper Excerpt, 1979)

Here's another small but rare excerpt of a bumper for the "Movie for a Saturday Afternoon" presentation of the Bob Hope and W.C. Fields movie, "The Big Broadcast of 1938" on WFLD Channel 32.

If you pause it at the right moment you can make out the "film strip" framing as well as the old "Kaiser-era" 32 logo and some kind of green-jelly like effect in the background (which was evidently used for this program as late as 1980).

Here's another short 10 second spot for the Oak Park Village Mall. Remember this? When they blocked off Lake Street and created an outdoor "mall" much in the way they did with State Street?

This was produced at WFLD Channel 32 during the Kaiser Broadcasting Company days, and was directed by Don Shannon. It was recorded on 6-30-76.
