WTTW Channel 11 - Wild, Wild World Of Animals (Ending, 1983)

Here's the ending to Wild, Wild World of Animals on WTTW Channel 11 featuring that funky and memorable ending credits music. Thankfully, this was the first episode ending I've found where WTTW did not fade-out the credits early. (even though I remember the whole song vividly)

William Conrad (TV's Cannon) does the narration. This episode was about Bighorn Sheep of the Canadian Rockies. (unfortunately, no real episode list or guide seems to exist for this show)

By request, here's an earworm-inducing commercial for District Furniture and Appliances, with banjo-infused old-timey dixieland-type music in the background and a sale offer on a Sylvania 19" color TV plus a pair of lounge chairs - all for only $379. (Golly gee! Where can you find such an equivalent deal today?)

Here's an ABC News Special Report on the death of Irish Republican Army (IRA) member Bobby Sands at age 27 after a 66-day hunger strike, reported by Ted Koppel in Washington. He mentioned that Mr. Sands, who was serving a 14-year prison sentence for weapons possession and demanding special status as a political prisoner, died at Belfast's Maze Prison at 1:17am Tuesday (the 5th) Belfast time, which would have been 8:17pm Eastern time (and, therefore, 7:17pm Chicago time).
