Here's something very rare - a [sound modified] promo for an upcoming 3:30 Movie presentation (in two parts) of the 1940 film "Northwest Mounted Police" (directed by Cecil B. DeMille and starring Gary Cooper and Paulette Goddard) on WLS Channel 7, from within the venerable afternoon movie showcase's early years.

Here's a few neat treats: the original opening and bumpers for Super Cartoon Sunday on WFLD Channel 32, from the original 16mm film. (Previous to this we had only seen the 1984 version).

Here's a short piece that was likely originally planned to air with a pledge drive on WTTW Channel 11, with longtime staff announcer Marty Robinson showing a sausage pizza and explaining how each piece represents a different aspect of the station's operating budget, and at the end giving the address where viewers can send money.
