Here's a commercial for a board game called Airline by MPH ("The Making People Happy people"). This Monopoly-similar game allowed the player to control the world's largest international airline - if you could handle the risks. Not from Chicago, but still interesting (and pertinent) - here's another example of the animated "Field Communications" ID bumper, this time from WLVI Channel 56 in Boston, Massachusetts. (Another example, from KBHK Channel 44 in San Francisco, can be seen here; both stations were sisters to our own WFLD Channel 32 up to Field Communications' dissolution in 1983.)

Here's a very cool glimpse at some very old TV-44 - from 1974!
It's a slides-only promo of the afternoon lineup of WSNS Channel 44, which ranged "from cartoons to action" and at the time of this airing consisted of:
- 3pm - Robin Hood (presumably the 1950's British-made TV series with Richard Greene in the title role)
- 3:30pm - Popeye on 44 with Steve Hart (a what-ful of surprises?) ;-)

Here's another example of vintage TV-44 from 1974 - a slides-only set of promos for Yancy Derringer (a 1958-59 Western starring Jock Mahoney, airing Saturdays at 5pm) and International Detective (a 1959-61 British-made crime drama series starring Art Fleming [yes, the Art Fleming of 1964-75 Jeopardy! fame], airing Sundays at 2:30pm) on WSNS Channel 44.

Here's the opening for the 1967-70 animated series Spider-Man on WSNS Channel 44 - this was years before it aired on WFLD Channel 32! Includes:
