Here's a promo demo reel for Panos Productions, a local Chicago video production house that produced some local TV commercials and at least one program. (Outdoor Sportsman on WCIU Channel 26)

The fonts seen here are from a very primitive CG system, along the lines of 3M Datavision (but different from what was used by WSNS Channel 44).

Not from Chicago, but one which, "even then," had overtaken Chicago as the "Second City" in population: a clip of the ending minutes of the early edition of NewsCenter4 with anchors Paul Moyer and Kelly Lange on KNBC Channel 4 in Los Angeles. Here's a lost Koz Klassic! - Chicago Stuff - was it a failed pilot? A consolation prize from Fox Television for cancelling Son of Svengoolie a month later? A half-remembered dream? It only aired once, at 10pm on a Sunday in December 1985 - so you couldn't be blamed for not knowing it existed. (I only heard rumors) In any case, it's a neat little package of Rich's schtick, so just think of it as an extremely early episode of The Koz Zone. :-)

Here's a lost Koz Klassic! - Chicago Stuff - was it a failed pilot? A consolation prize from Fox Television for cancelling Son of Svengoolie a month later? A half-remembered dream? It only aired once, at 10pm on a Sunday in December 1985 - so you couldn't be blamed for not knowing it existed. Here's Part 1 of an episode of Bill Jackson's Gigglesnort Hotel (entitled "Vanity", which was Episode #17 of the series, and whose original airdate was Sunday, May 11th 1975.)

This aired on Channel 7 - WSVN Channel 7 in Miami / Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that is. (The station was an NBC affiliate at the time; it is today an affiliate of the FOX television network.)
